Survive the Winter with a Remodeled Fireplace!
December 22, 2021

At Interior 2000, we’ve seen it all when it comes to bathroom remodeling! We’ve been a favorite Richmond Remodeling Contractor for over 20 years now. We’ve watched trends come and go and we are constantly training and visiting expo’s to stay on top of what the next big trends will be. Glass Shower Enclosures used to be just a glass door or panel. Glass shower enclosures are now a major design element. We are seeing some beautiful trends in opening up shower enclosures to make a small space seem larger and a large space seem even more luxurious and inviting. Whatever your space and budget we can help you design an entire bathroom remodel or take you through steps to upgrade a piece at a time. Glass shower enclosures are a great place to start a new design element in any space. Here are some of the top trends we are seeing in shower enclosures.

Top Glass Shower Enclosure Trends

  1. Frameless Doors and Panels

We are happy to see the silver or bronze edging on glass disappearing. One less surface and place for soap scum and grime to hide! This presents a completely open feel with no visual barrier into a shower space.

  1. Transparent Glass Enclosures

The 90’s brought in a wave of opaque or frosted glass. This material seemed

impossible to ever get clean or feel clean. Moving away from these frosted glass

surfaces immediately opens up any space. Simply upgrading the glass

enclosure of your existing shower can go a long way in making a bathroom feel

new.

  1. Spacious Walk-Ins

Long gone are the days of the shower and tub combo. If you have the space to

separate these two fixtures into their own design element, do it!

  1. Zero Barrier or Curbless Shower Design

Removing the potentially dangerous step over into a shower space is becoming more and more popular in the shower enclosures.

  1. Angled Shower Spaces

We are seeing design options move away from the standard rectangular shower

enclosure. Design elements incorporating corners with diamond, hexagon and

angles to fit the space are on trend right now.

  1. Barn Door Style Entry

Barn doors were all the rage a few years ago in homes. Now we’re seeing the trend in glass shower enclosures. This gives homeowners a lightweight, easy to use design element while still giving clean lines to a space.
